The Chapin 8740A 64-ounce hand shaker is a versatile tool designed for year-round use. It is not limited to just salt and ice melt; you can utilize this shaker from spring to fall for seed and fertilizers, and throughout the winter for salt, ice melt, and sand. Our 8740A hand shaker spreader is engineered to access areas where a standard spreader cannot go. It is easy to operate with one hand, with or without gloves. The shaker has fewer wear parts and a simple twist mechanism to change the opening size based on the material being used.

The 64-OUNCE BOTTLE is a high-capacity poly bottle with a wide opening and an easy screw-top lid, allowing you to quickly remove the lid and add your preferred seed, salt, fertilizer, or other materials, and then simply screw the lid back into place.

The shaker is suitable for TURF AND SALT applications, from steps, sidewalks, and small paths in the winter, to grass patches, shaded areas, gardens, and small sections throughout the rest of the year.
